The author is the head representative of Meifu Shinkage-ryu Shurikenjutsu. Before the Meiji period and the advent of modern martial arts like Kendo and Judo, Japanese Koryu martial arts encompassed a comprehensive range of techniques, including spears and naginata, known as the "18 types of martial arts." Shurikenjutsu is a legitimate part of these traditional Japanese martial arts.

Expanding the Art

After the author's predecessor passed away in 2008, he became the second-generation head, dedicated to introducing authentic Shurikenjutsu to the world and expanding its practice. Their efforts led to international recognition, including interviews with overseas TV stations and a feature in the Shochiku film "Kamui Gaiden." The school has since grown significantly both domestically and internationally.

Spiritual Connection

The author's deep attraction to ancient martial arts and Shurikenjutsu led him to seek answers from a psychic, who revealed that in a past life, he was the head of the Yagyu clan, a connection that matched the author's old memories. This revelation prompted extensive research into the Yagyu clan and the discovery of his past life's details.

Writing the Book

"Throwing Shuriken!" was written to document this mysterious spiritual journey. The author transitioned from a corporate career to a full-time martial artist, conducting overseas seminars on Shurikenjutsu in America and Europe. Despite initial challenges in America, the seminars in Europe were highly successful.

Expanding the Narrative

The book's content was significantly expanded upon discovering that people in America and Europe also had past-life memories. In November 2010, the author visited Yagyu village in Nara Prefecture, paying respects to the graves of nine Yagyu swordsmen who met tragic fates, realizing that he was being guided by them.
