Born in 1950 in Saitama Prefecture, Kuroda Tetsuzan learned his family's martial arts from his grandfather, Taiji Tetsushinzai. He continues to pursue the authentic movements of martial arts with his disciples at the Fushukan Dojo. Kuroda is his real name. He remains a star-like presence in the modern competitive martial arts world, admired by many martial arts enthusiasts who seek authenticity.
