About the Instructor:
Seishiro Endo is a highly respected Aikido master, known for his soft and flowing approach to the art. Born in 1942 in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, Endo began practicing Aikido in 1963 under the tutelage of Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido, at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo. He is among the few remaining direct students of Ueshiba.
Endo emphasizes relaxation, sensitivity, and minimal force, focusing on blending with an opponent’s energy rather than overpowering them. His teaching style has drawn admiration worldwide for its depth and subtlety, often described as "invisible power" due to his effortless and fluid movements.
Currently an 8th dan Shihan, Endo travels extensively, conducting seminars globally to share his unique interpretation of Aikido. He is also the founder of the Aikido Saku Dojo in Nagano, where he continues to teach and inspire students with his philosophy of harmony and adaptability in martial arts.
