Watanabe Tadashige (渡辺忠成) Born in 1941 (Showa 16) in Tokyo, Watanabe Tadashige began training under his father, Tadatoshi Watanabe, in 1948. In January 1969, he established the "Shinkage-ryu Heiho Tenshukai" to promote and commemorate the spreading of Shinkage-ryu. Active not only throughout Japan but also in countries such as the United States, Russia, and Poland, he inherited the lineage of Shinkage-ryu in 1972, becoming the 22nd generation head of Shinkage-ryu Heiho.
