DVD Volume 1 serves as an introductory guide to mastering the Hida-style Strengthening Technique. It explains fundamental principles crucial for learning this method and introduces principles and techniques for basic strengthening exercises. Additionally, it includes a training session where viewers can practice the 11 movements comprising the Simplified Strengthening Technique while watching instructional videos.

Harumichi Hida (1883-1956) was born in Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture. Despite severe childhood frailty, he resolved to transform his physical and mental well-being at age 18. Through two years of rigorous study of various physical disciplines worldwide, he developed his unique training methods, achieving a robust physique. He unveiled the Simplified Strengthening Technique in 1911, gaining renown for his contributions to natural therapies. His insights led to further developments such as mastering the essence of Central Core and achieving absolute perfection in Natural Body Rest Posture after a 49-day complete fast in 1956.
Featuring: Takahisa Tomita (born 1949, Kagoshima Prefecture), who encountered Hida-style Strengthening Technique at age 30 and was profoundly impressed by its effectiveness and depth. He founded the Hida-style Strengthening Technique Research Society in 1985 and has since served as its chairman, dedicated to researching and promoting the technique.
