Traditional Goju Ryu Techniques DVD 1 by Goshi Yamaguchi
The Essence of Goju-Ryu Karate-do: A Harmony of Strength and Gentleness
Goju-Ryu Karate-do, as the name suggests, is structured by the natural principles of combining strength and gentleness. It adapts seamlessly to the opponent's movements with versatile and effortless techniques, transitioning fluidly from strength to gentleness and vice versa. Among the traditional schools of Karate, it is renowned for preserving the primal forms of powerful martial arts, rich with ancient martial traditions.
Established by the late Grandmaster Gogen Yamaguchi, also known as the "Karate Saint," the Goju-Ryu tradition techniques have been passed down to Goshi Yamaguchi, the current President of Nihon Karate-do Goju-kai. Over the years, he has further researched and developed these traditional techniques, resulting in this comprehensive collection.
