Shurikenjutsu revived in modern times!

Shuriken - The first introductory book on everything about this small weapon, including its origins and history, the characteristics of each school, and basic stances!

"I have been interested in shuriken since I was a child and have embarked on this path. Now, I am one of the few people who continue this martial art, but I am keenly aware of the profound depth of ancient martial arts, not just shuriken. For this reason, now that the traditions of ancient martial arts are on the verge of disappearing, I believe it is meaningful to provide an overview of shuriken and record its techniques and spirit." - Shirakami Ikuken

About the Author

Shirakami Ikuken is a Japanese author and shuriken expert, founder of Isshu Ryu style.

Inspired by novels as a boy, he became a disciple of renowned shuriken master Naruse Kanji, learning Shirai-ryu and Negishi-ryu techniques.

He created his own innovative style, blending them with personal refinements, including a double-ended shuriken design.

Post-war, he taught shuriken and boomerang on TV, worked with delinquents' reform through instruction, collaborated with U.S. knife throwers, and taught women self-defense.
