An Unforgettable Event!

For the first time ever in Japanese history, little known methods of Russian Martial Art, Systema, are taught openly to Japanese martial artists.

There are some parts where the audio is difficult to hear. Please be aware of this before watching.

The Russian martial art "Systema", which had only been partially introduced in Japan, has finally been made public to Japanese martial arts enthusiasts. This DVD is a record of this historic event.

The essence of Systema, famous for being used by the Russian Special Forces, Spetsnaz, was brought to Japan by masters Mikhail Ryabko and Vladimir Vasiliev, who are considered "legendary" by martial artists from around the world. These two, who are also known as the most famous martial arts instructors in the world, provided detailed instruction over the course of three days and presented spectacular demonstrations.

This is a must-attend seminar for any martial arts enthusiast who wants to take their skills to the next level.

Bonus video: Health Q&A

Day 1

Mikhail and Vladimir will teach you the basics of Systema, from breathing techniques for any situation to correct posture and alignment.

On the first day, you will learn in unprecedentedly simple steps how to find and use the tension between you and your opponent, and how to use the opponent's tension to your advantage when throwing.

We will go into detail about Systema movements using examples such as using the throw back to counter an attack.

Day 2

Mikhail Ryabko will explain the advanced principles of the "strike", a signature Systema technique.

Proper posture, timing, distance and power generation were all taught through easy to understand drills, along with the secrets of using and redirecting the energy applied by your opponent, how to safely deliver and block strikes to the face and body and how to use your breath to recover from damage.

Day3

Mikhail on the psychological impact of weapons

He explained power, and introduced how to use weapons and how to rescue hostages through drills. He also demonstrated the psychological effects of swords, showing how to immobilize an opponent with a Japanese sword. Vladimir introduced how to deal with an enemy with a knife using his own unique approach, and Daniel Ryabko, Mikhail's son and Spetsnaz instructor, who came to Japan with him, also demonstrated a drill on knife defense against a wall.

Mikhail's demonstration also introduces techniques for creating and controlling tension in the body of an opponent who is launching various attacks, as well as techniques for using this to gain an advantageous position through throws and breakdowns.
