About Yokoyama Masashi: Born February 6, 1954 in Kobe. Started learning jujutsu and swordsmanship in middle school, began karate in high school. Competed in various tournaments until age 25. From age 30, worked in international exchange between Europe and Japan, living in Europe, China, and Southeast Asia. During the Gulf War, was requested to teach practical restraint and self-defense techniques in France. Founded the comprehensive combat self-defense system "Korōhō" and taught in France, Britain, Italy and other countries. Opened dojos in Japan from 2000. Currently teaches Korōhō plus pursues practical Japanese martial arts through Montōryū military arts and leads the Japanese Armored Combat Association, which conducts historical research through realistic recreations of Sengoku period armored battles.
