Mugairyu is the sword style said to have been mastered by Saito Hajime, the captain of the 3rd Unit of the Shinsengumi, known as the strongest of the group. Founded by Edo-period swordsman Tsukioka Tsuji, the school reached its peak of prosperity with 32 feudal lords, 156 direct retainers, and 930 subordinate retainers as disciples. In this DVD, continuing from the previous installment, Master Hougyoku Takeda, who upholds the practical Iaido tradition with the motto "Iaido that doesn’t cut is just a dance," provides a detailed explanation of the essential forms of Iaido.
