About the Instructor:
Chida Tsutomu Born on October 4, 1950, in Tokyo, Japan. He began his training at the Yoshinkan Dojo in June 1969. In 1971, he became an uchideshi (live-in disciple), and he continued his training there until the passing of Master Shioda Gozo in 1994, spending a total of 23 years together. In 1993, he was granted the 8th dan by Master Shioda, and since 1994, he has served as the Chief Instructor of the Yoshinkan Dojo and as the Head Dojo Instructor since 2002. He is a prominent Aikido practitioner who has inherited the techniques and spirit of Master Shioda most prominently, deeply understanding the essence of these techniques.
In 2008, he founded the Aikido Renshinkai, shedding light on the mechanisms of Aikido, often referred to as mystical techniques, and explaining them in an accessible manner. He dedicates himself to teaching Aikido as an art that anyone can learn, fostering the next generation of practitioners.
