That's what I picture in my mind Sensei Yamaguchi saying to me as I practice the techniques on this very well made DVD.

Not for the faint of heart!

Goshi Yamaguchi have decided to publish a documentation of traditional Goju Ryu, as it was performed before the age of competitions. The result is these 2 DVDs (this is the first one). It is not a instructional video, but rather a documentation with great commentary.

The Katas shown have no explanations and no Bunkai.
One of the more interesting parts is perhaps the Kihon were he combines techniques and stances.

Highly recommended for those looking for deeper knowledge of Goju Ryu, and/or for comparison of styles, but not at all for beginners.

Wow ! To view the son of Gogen

Wow ! To view the son of Gogen Yamaguchi is a treasure. Goshi is impressive in his performance especially in light of his age. Few Heads of Karate systems retain such a youthful appearance and competence. Very exciting bunkai of technique !
