Trained in boxing, judo, Krav Maga (Israel), etc. While learning self-defense techniques at SAMI, an Austrian martial arts training organization, he encountered Kali and began to practice it seriously. Immediately after returning to Japan, he was invited by an FCS-Kali instructor to travel to the United States. While training at FCS, he deepened ties with friendly groups and is currently a member of three Kali groups.
