About the Instructor:

Born in the United States in 1952, William Reed pursued Japanese language and culture studies at Earlham University (USA) and furthered his education at Waseda University. He later completed a master's program at the University of Missouri with a focus on education. Currently a professor at Yamanashi Gakuin University's International Liberal Arts (iCLA) program, he holds special teaching credentials with the Nanbajutsu Association. Additionally, he is a 10th Dan in the All Japan Calligraphy Federation and holds ranks of 8th Dan in Yuishinkai Aikido and 2nd Dan in the International Iaido Federation Hogyokukai.
