Kukishin Ryu Bujutsu: Bojutsu Staff Arts Book by Koshiro Kiba & Todd Schweinhart
Kukishin Ryu Bojutsu by Kiba Koshiro with English Translation
This single volume written with translation is nearly 200 pages.
In 1937 by Kiba Koshiro, a student of Takamatsu Toshitsugu of the Kukishin Ryu, published this book introducing the arts of Kukishin Ryu to the public for the first time with over 100 photographs of Bo (Long Staff), Hanbo (3 feet staff), and sword techniques plus the bonus of rare pictures and history of this traditional Japanese martial art. All the pictures are accompanied by step-by-step explanations covering postures, basic training drills and techniques plus the origin of Kukishin Ryu Bojutsu.
This translation also includes a section that is usually lost explaining the section called Kutsu No Kata. These kata were usually a mere insert in the original book and often lost or damaged.
