Fusion of Jun Fan Gung Fu and Jeet Kune Do Hiro Watanabe's culmination, elevating martial arts into a modern form.
Bruce Lee created Jun Fan Gung Fu by combining Eastern martial arts, primarily Wing Chun, with Western martial arts like boxing and fencing. He then evolved this into his original martial art, Jeet Kune Do, which Ted Wong continued to develop until his death. Hiro Watanabe has fused these two martial arts learned from various successors into Jun Fan / Jeet Kune Do, surpassing all modern martial arts. This is the cutting edge for anyone aspiring to become a Jeet Kune Do master.

In 1977, he returned to Japan after learning from Dan Inosanto and started training in Jeet Kune Do with his friend Hiroshi Araki. In 1984, he traveled to the US and received direct teachings from Dan Inosanto and Larry Hartsell, both Bruce Lee's disciples. In 1986, he received an instructor certificate from Dan Inosanto and began promoting the art. In 1992, he left the US headquarters school. In 1994, he reunited with instructor Mark Stewart during a seminar in Japan. In 1996, with Stewart's support, he began learning Bruce Lee's true Jeet Kune Do directly from Ted Wong. In 2000, he became the first Japanese person to receive the official Jeet Kune Do instructor certificate from Ted Wong. Every year, he travels to the US for private lessons focusing on sparring with Ted Wong, while diligently working on refining internal structures. In the summer of 2010, he received his final private lesson from Ted Wong, who certified him with complete knowledge of Jeet Kune Do's teachings.
