A Man Who Conquered Both Punk Rock and Kickboxing
Tetsu Takemura is a man who has reached the pinnacle in both Punk Rock and Kickboxing, bringing a clear and rational method with a strong sense of direction. As the vocalist and bassist of SNAIL RAMP, a band that played a crucial role in the Japanese melodic punk and ska-punk movement since its formation in 1995, Takemura made a significant impact on the current rock scene. At 31, during his active band career, he debuted as a professional kickboxer. In October 2014, at 43, he won the 12th NKB Welterweight Championship. Now, he manages the kickboxing gym Tokyo Kick Works, while also serving as a matchmaker and overseeing events for the NKB Japan Kickboxing Federation.
In this DVD, Takemura shares the training methods he uses at his gym, which he has taught to over 1,000 students, from beginners to professional kickboxers. The content is designed to be easily understood, not only by those looking to take up kickboxing as a sport but also by those interested in it for fitness.
