How do you build the body foundation needed to activate the ligaments!?

“Jin-Training” (Ligament Training) creates intentionally unstable conditions to activate the ligaments, enabling faster and more powerful movement than relying on muscle alone.
In this volume, we welcome Hitotsugu Takagi, 17th-generation master of Takenouchi-ryu Bitchu Den, and Jun Ito, Gonnegi (assistant priest) of Togo Shrine and runner-up in the lightweight division at the 7th Sentō-ryu Karate Sōkekai International Tournament. Together, they present the theory and training system for reproducing and mastering martial arts-level skills.

The basic section focuses on building the physical foundation needed to trigger ligament activation.

Instructor:

Founder of the Jin-Training Association. Born in 1961. After training in judo and karate from childhood, he became a professional kickboxer and competed professionally. He later joined the Japan Self-Defense Forces and also studied taekwondo. In 1986, he won the sparring division at the 6th All-Japan Taekwondo Championships. In 1989, he fought Minami Gohiro of Byakuren Kaikan — then known as the “strongest invader” — in Minami’s Kanto debut match at the 7th Shidokan Tournament. He also sparred in near-match conditions at Thailand’s Omnoi Stadium with Samart Payakaroon, widely regarded as the greatest genius in Muay Thai history, while appearing in the latter’s starring film — the first Japanese to do so before a full house crowd.

In 1994, he worked as a bodyguard for Miss World while also instructing the governor’s security unit in Kerala, South India. In 2002, he won the forms division at the 1st All-Japan Taekwondo Poomsae Championships. He later trained in Systema in Canada and studied Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu, Aikido, and other martial arts. From these experiences, he developed “Jin-Training,” focusing on ligament-based movement. He founded the Jin-Training Association in 2012 and registered the trademark “Jin-Training” in 2014. His publications include Connected Body! Jin-Training and the instructional DVD Jin-Training Basics
