Short Staff Training Method — Breaking the Staff (劈杵子)
Instructor: Wu Lianzhi
Born in 1947 in Mengcun, the birthplace of Baji Quan. Wu Lianzhi began rigorous training as an heir to the tradition under his father, Master Wu Xiufeng, and grandfather, Master Wu Huiqing. At 18, he began teaching, and his students have earned numerous awards in national martial arts competitions. He has taught not only in Japan and Europe but also in several other countries, hosting many international students at the birthplace of Baji Quan in Mengcun. Wu is currently the Vice Chairman of the Hebei Province Martial Arts Association and the President of the Kai Men Baji Quan Research Association.
