Kazuyuki Miyata
- Born January 29, 1976 in Ibaraki Prefecture. Started wrestling at the age of 10 and quickly rose to prominence due to his exceptional dedication to training. Graduated from Nihon University Faculty of Science and Arts after attending Tsuchiura Nihon University High School. Won the All Japan Wrestling Championship Freestyle 63kg class in 1999 and represented Japan at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Won the All Japan Championship 69kg class in 2001 and again at 66kg in 2002. Made his professional debut in November 2004 against Royler Gracie at Rumble on the Rock in Hawaii. Since then, has excelled on MMA mats in organizations like HERO'S, DEEP, and DREAM, using his wrestling-derived takedown skills. While actively competing, Miyata also devotes his energy to coaching wrestling and MMA at his own gym, BRAVE.
