Jun Osano
Born in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Jun Osano has dedicated his life to martial arts. His training journey began early, learning Chinese martial arts, various Jujutsu styles, and Yagyu Shingan-ryu military arts from Shihan Takio Nishigori in Kanagawa Prefecture. Over time, he extensively trained across Japan, mastering Asayama Ichiden-ryu Jujutsu under Master Sato Tai of Miyagi Prefecture, becoming the 12th generation successor. He also learned Geishu Honden Shibukawa Ichiryu Jujutsu from Master Tanida Asao Tokinobu of Hiroshima Prefecture, becoming the 13th generation successor. Additionally, he holds licenses in Rikishin-ryu swordsmanship and stick fighting from Master Miwa Yasuyuki Yoshimitsu of Shizuoka Prefecture, and in Anazawa-ryu naginatajutsu from Master Igarashi Kinu of Saitama Prefecture. He learned Yagyu Shingan-ryu from Master Takeda Guntora and Master Toyama Kunio of Miyagi Prefecture, also earning a license in this discipline. Currently, Jun Osano presides over the Japan Comprehensive Martial Arts Research Institute and the Kobudo Instructor Suigetsu Juku, where he continues to teach and research traditional martial arts.
