Iaido (Japanese sword drawing) is still practiced today using real swords or blunted swords for training. It deserves to be highly regarded as a martial art that carries on the spiritual legacy left by our country's swordsmen. This book is a compilation of the Muso Shinden-ryu Iaido that the author learned from his teacher, Hiroshi Nakayama, with the earnest desire to accurately preserve the correct form of the teachings for future generations. In this sense, this book is primarily intended for beginners who aspire to learn Iaido, and it includes many photographs to aid in the practice of each technique.
