Bin Konno Born on September 27, 1955, in Mikasa City, Hokkaido. While studying at Sophia University's Faculty of Letters, he won the 4th Mystery Novel Rookie Award in 1978 for "A Monster Comes to Town," marking his debut as a writer. In 2006, he received the 27th Yoshikawa Eiji Literature Newcomer Award for "Concealed Investigation," followed by the 21st Yamamoto Shugoro Prize and the 61st Japan Mystery Writers Association Award in 2008 for "Resolution: Concealed Investigation 2." He has been active in a wide range of genres including science fiction, supernatural action, and mystery. His literary works include many martial arts-themed novels such as "The Legend of the Lone Fist," "Tiger's Road, Dragon's Gate," "The Fist of Yoshitsune," "Samurai Monkey," "One Generation of Okinawan Karate Fools," "Wandering of Soukaku," and "Mountain Storm." Konno began practicing Itosu-ryu karate at Sophia University's karate club and later joined Joushinmon karate after graduation. In 1999, he established "Karate-do Konno Juku" to pursue ancient Okinawan karate. Alongside numerous disciples, he continues to explore karate-do.
