The Black Belt Master Course in Nihon Goshin Aikido by Walter Kopitov & Frank Bowe is the most complete and authoritative book on Nihon Goshin Aikido available today. It contains hundreds of photographs with instructions on each aspect of the art.

Walter V. Kopitov has been training in the martial arts since 1974. His training included Shotokan Karate, Tae Kwon Do and Kung Fu. In 1984 he began training in Nihon Goshin Aikido, and received his first-degree black belt in under three years. In 1987 he opened the Aikido Self-Defense Center of Ossining. Since that time he has trained directly with Master Richard A. Bowe.

Frank D. Bowers began training in the martial arts in 1973. His training included Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Karate and Judo. He has been training in Aikido at the Aikido Self-Defense Center of Ossining since 1994 under the instruction of Walter Kopitov.
