About the Author

Masashi Fujiwara

Fujiwara began with karate and went on to study a variety of martial arts styles, continually searching for more effective methods of training. Along the way, he trained and exchanged ideas with numerous martial artists and combat-sports practitioners.

In 2020, he established Shutetsu Karate-do, a karate system focused specifically on developing the power and effectiveness of technique.

Seeking to pursue a broader and more unrestricted approach to research beyond the boundaries of karate, the organization was later renamed Shutetsu. Today, Fujiwara continues to teach practitioners regardless of martial arts style or organizational affiliation.
