Matsui Kenji
- Born in Shanghai in 1935. Started training under Shimizu Ryuji in 1955.
- Continued training under Ototo Ichizo after Shimizu Ryuji's death in 1978.
- Holds the Menkyo Kaiden (master's license) in Shinto Muso-ryu Jojutsu.
- Extensive experience in various martial arts including Shinto-ryu swordsmanship, Ikkaku-ryu jitte, Isshin-ryu kusarigama, Uchida-ryu short staff techniques, Asayama Ichiden-ryu martial arts, Suio-ryu small armor, and wakizashi techniques.
- Currently holds the rank of 8th dan in Jodo at the All Japan Kendo Federation.
- Chairman of the Tokyo Kendo Federation Jodo Division and head instructor of the Shinto Muso-ryu Jodoshinkai.
