One of the three major Bakumatsu sword schools, wielded by legendary swordsmen and preserved today.

Founded by Hyoemon Fukui, Shinto Munen-ryu gained fame through Bakumatsu master Saito Yakuro (Nerioikan) and produced icons like Katsura Kogoro and Bussho-ji Yasuke.

This DVD captures rare kata from Yushinkan—“Sword Saint Hakudo Nakayama Sensei Transmission Budo Preservation Society” (Director: Takeshi Ogawa)—faithfully conveying the school’s profound spirit and techniques.

Yushinkan: Founded in 1885 in Tokyo’s Kanda by Shingo Negishi (Nerioikan menkyo recipient); inherited by sword saint Hakudo Nakayama and his son Zendo.
