Hida-style Strengthening Technique, developed and perfected by Harumichi Hida from the Taisho to Showa eras, is a uniquely Japanese method aimed at refining the eight essential requirements for an ideal human body. It goes beyond mere physical exercises, focusing on achieving true health through balanced practices of "Central Core Training," "Natural Diet and Nutrition," and "Pure Natural Body Rest Posture."

DVD Volume 1 serves as an introductory guide to mastering the Hida-style Strengthening Technique. Harumichi Hida (1883-1956) was born in Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture. Despite severe childhood frailty, he resolved to transform his physical and mental well-being at age 18. Through two years of rigorous study of various physical disciplines worldwide, he developed his unique training methods, achieving a robust physique. He unveiled the Simplified Strengthening Technique in 1911, gaining renown for his contributions to natural therapies. His insights led to further developments such as mastering the essence of Central Core and achieving absolute perfection in Natural Body Rest Posture after a 49-day complete fast in 1956.

Featuring: Takahisa Tomita (born 1949, Kagoshima Prefecture), who encountered Hida-style Strengthening Technique at age 30 and was profoundly impressed by its effectiveness and depth. He founded the Hida-style Strengthening Technique Research Society in 1985 and has since served as its chairman, dedicated to researching and promoting the technique.

Excellent introduction to Harumitsu Hida method

Probably the only product in English about Hida method this DVD is packed with information and well done. Goes very well with the other DVD of Tomita sensei.
If you haven't heard about Harumitsu Hida do a search and then you can get a sense about the material on the disc.
Hopefully will get some books in English on the subject.
That being said great body of work.
Thank you Budovideos for making this type of knowledge available!
