About the instructor:
Akira Kubo is the kancho (chief instructor) of the Kyumeikan dojo in Tokyo, Japan. He has worked dilligently to train students and develop instructors in the art of kendo since 1969. He has also traveled overseas on many occasions to spread Kendo.
