The Miracle & Spirit of Kobujutsu DVD by Yoshinori Kono (Region 2 DVD) (Preowned)
Yoshinori Kono's techniques and character were born from his relentless pursuit of ancient martial arts.
This noteworthy documentary delves into the essence of the Kono-ryu "body manipulation technique," which has thrown a stone into modern common sense, and rediscovers the potential of human beings.
The true character of Yoshinori Kono, who has attracted attention as a martial arts researcher, is recorded through close-up coverage. It captures him from a wide range of angles, including an interview at his own dojo, Shoseikan, demonstrations of techniques and training scenes, an interview with judoka Tatsuhide Kawahara, and training with French martial artists who came to Japan to learn techniques.
It also includes conversations with best-selling author and Kobe College professor Itsuki Uchida and retired mixed martial artist Genki Sudo, who is active in many fields. There is no end to the topics, including his educational theory based on his experience lecturing at a women's university, and a demonstration of the "Caster Weathervane Principle," one of the ever-evolving "awareness."
Yoshinori Kono's never-ending challenge in his quest for new skills reveals the potential of human beings and hints for surviving in the modern world.
