Go-Do: A Mind-Body Conditioning Martial Art DVD by Makoto Saegusa
1st Airborne Brigade × Noguchi Seitai × Aikido Where rigorous training meets precise body adjustment—mastering real-world, combat-effective aikido.
Go-Do is a unique mind-body martial and healing art created by Makoto Saegusa, a rare martial artist whose path combined service in the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force 1st Airborne Brigade, deep study of Noguchi Seitai, and inner discipleship under Gozo Shioda in Yoshinkan Aikido.
Core principles:
- Attack and defense as one — not defeating the opponent, but mutually supporting and sustaining each other
- Lifelong cultivation — a practice for the whole life, not just youth
- Martial art and medicine united — offered as a practical, everyday training system
- Balance of hard, soft, and alignment
It teaches aikido that resolves in the instant of contact, step-by-step atemi as the foundation of kuzushi, and daily body conditioning that can be done anytime, anywhere: everyday life is the dojo.
