The I Ching is an ancient Chinese system of philosophy that helps us understand the immutable workings of cosmic law and the spiritual principles of life. It can also be used to understand specific problems of our personal life and to help us make decisions concerning the right action to take in any situation.

Changing Lines is a new presentation of the standard I Ching text, designed to be used exclusively for gaining insight into personal and spiritual growth. It was developed originally to serve as the commentary for the personal growth module of a new computer program, I Ching On Line.

But it can be used just as readily without a computer, using the more traditional methods of constructing hexagrams.

Changing Lines is the fourth of a series of I Ching commentaries developed by authors Leichtman and Japikse. The others focus on health and healing, decision making, and relationships.
