The philosophy of Kendo is thus established. The All Japan Kendo Federation has therefore created the "Kendo Basic Technique Training Method with Wooden Swords", as it believes that using a wooden sword to learn its principles is an effective way to master the basic techniques. This training method is made up of nine basic techniques, with the goal of "large movements and accuracy".
