In alternative medicine, bodywork refers to any therapeutic or personal development technique that involves working with the human body through manipulative therapy, breathwork, or energy medicine. These techniques aim to assess or improve posture, enhance awareness of the "body-mind connection"—an approach that views the body and mind as a single, integrated unit—or manipulate the electromagnetic field believed to surround the human body and influence health.
