About the Instructor: Jun Osano Born in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture. Aspired to martial arts from an early age. Studied Chinese martial arts, various types of jujutsu, and Yagyu Shingan Ryu military arts from Shihan Takio Nishigori, Kanagawa Prefecture. After that, he spent a long time training as a warrior all over the country, and learned Asayama Ichiden Ryu jujutsu from Shihan Tai Sato, Miyagi Prefecture, and is the 12th generation successor. Studied Geishu Honden Shibukawa Ichiryu jujutsu from Shihan Asao Tokinobu Tanida, Hiroshima Prefecture, and is the 13th generation successor. Studied Rikishin Ryu swordsmanship and bōjutsu from Shihan Yoshimitsu Miwa, Shizuoka Prefecture, and is certified. Studied Anazawa Ryu naginatajutsu from Shihan Kinu Igarashi, Saitama Prefecture, and is certified as a master. Studied Yagyu Shingan Ryu from Shihan Takeda Guntora and Shihan Toyama Kunio, Miyagi Prefecture, and is the successor. Currently, he presides over the Japan Comprehensive Martial Arts Research Institute and the Kobudō Instructor's Suigetsu Juku, where he teaches and researches koryu martial arts.
