Hirotomi Arakaki Born in 1961 in Nakagusuku Village, Okinawa Prefecture. Moved to Colonia Okinawa, Bolivia in 1964. Returned to Okinawa in 1973 and began studying Uechi-ryu karate at Futenma Dojo, becoming a disciple of the 2nd generation Head Uechi Kansei Sensei. Started learning Matayoshi Kobudo at the age of 13. Moved to Tokyo at 19 (third-degree karate). Achieved fourth dan at Futenma Headquarters Dojo at the age of 25. Established Fuchu Shubukan in 1995. Merged Fuchu Shubukan and Asagaya Dojo in 1997, opening Tokyo Shubukan Headquarters Dojo. Actively promoting Uechi-ryu karate directly from the head family lineage. Eighth dan karate instructor in Uechi-ryu. Director of Tokyo Shubukan.
