From taking care of your equipment to the key points of archery and how to improve your shooting habits, to how to train the necessary muscles, this DVD will thoroughly introduce the key points to "win in a tournament."

◆◇◆ Introduction ◆◇◆

Kyudo is still loved by a wide range of generations, regardless of age or gender.

Of the 130,000 high school students who belong to a Kyudo club and are registered members of the All Japan Kyudo Federation, a public interest corporation, account for about half of the 130,000.

Kyudo for high school and university students is centered on the results of hitting the target,
so it is somewhat different from the original purpose of Kyudo.

However, since Kyudo is a sport,
it is inevitable that there will be "wins and losses."

It is by no means about hitting the target, but rather about continuing to hit the target with correct shooting,
and continuing to hit the target more highly is required for Kyudo as a sport.

If you are practicing the same amount of time, I think it is essential to know the points and tips for improvement and a wide range of teaching methods to improve your level in the limited time you have in club activities, etc. If you practice intensively even in a limited amount of time, it is possible to build a strong team and become number one in Japan.

During my seven years as the coach of the Hosei University Kyudo Club,
I was able to teach the students I had been teaching,
and learned a lot from excellent coaches and students from other universities.
I also learned many meaningful teaching methods from high school players and their teachers.

During my tenure as coach, I was also able to study kinesiology (anatomy) and coaching from world-renowned professors at the Graduate School of Tsukuba University,
and I felt that there are many issues in Kyudo that need to be elucidated in a more advanced way, not just the "teachings and rules" in the world of Kyudo.

I would be honored if this book could be of use to those who are working hard to improve their skills and their accuracy, or those who are teaching day and night.
