Matsui Kenji
- Born in Shanghai in 1935, began studying under Shimizu Ryuji in 1955.
- Completed the master's course in Shinto Muso-ryu Jōjutsu.
- Extensive study in various martial arts including Shinto-ryu swordsmanship, Ikkaku-ryu jitte, Isshin-ryu kusarigama, Uchida-ryu short staff, Asayama Ichiden-ryu, Suio-ryu small armor, and more.
- Currently an 8th dan Jodo master at the All Japan Kendo Federation.
- Chairman of the Tokyo Kendo Federation Jodo Division and head instructor of the Shinto Muso-ryu Jodoshinkai.
