Kiyoshi Yogi Born on April 29, 1955, in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture. His martial arts career is adorned with numerous prestigious records. In 1999, he clinched two titles by winning the Senior Sai and Bo divisions at the 1st Okinawa Traditional Karate and Kobudo World Tournament. In 2001, he secured another two titles by winning the Senior Sai and Karate Kata divisions at the 2nd Okinawa Traditional Karate and Kobudo Atlanta World Tournament. In 2002, he won all divisions of Karate Kata, Kobudo Sai, and Bo at the 1st Nishihara Town Karate and Kobudo Tournament. In 2011, he achieved two titles in Nunchaku and Tonfa at the "Xishan Cup" International Karate and Martial Arts Exchange Tournament held in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China. He has won five titles at world and international tournaments, setting unprecedented milestones. On November 11, 1999, he founded the International Uechi-ryu Karate-do and Ryukyu Kobudo Yogi Association. From 1998 to 2000, he performed demonstration performances at the All Japan Karate-do Championship hosted by Shorin-Kan, and in 2004, he conducted the opening demonstration at the 1st Shorin-Kan World Tournament. On April 30, 2005, he received a pure gold certificate of appreciation from Ma Ying-jeou, then Mayor of Taipei City and later President of Taiwan. From 2005 to 2007, he performed demonstration performances at the U.S. Consulate General and accomplished the feat of breaking six ice blocks with a knife hand strike. In 2008, he appeared as a special guest on the national network Nippon Television program, demonstrating martial arts. He continues to excel in various fields.
