The I Ching is an ancient Chinese system of philosophy that helps us understand the immutable workings of cosmic law and the spiritual principles of life. It can also be used to understand specific problems of our personal life and to help us make decisions concerning the right action to take in any situation.

Ruling Lines is a new presentation of the standard I Ching text, designed to be used exclusively for making decisions and solving problems, both personally and in business. It was developed originally to serve as the commentary for the decision making module of a new computer program, I Ching On Line. But it can be used just as readily without a com-puter, using the more traditional methods of constructing hexagrams.

Ruling Lines is the second of a series of Ching commentaries being developed. The others will focus on health and healing, improving personal relationships, and personal growth.
