To mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Imi Lichtenfeld, Yaron Lichtenstein, the highest-ranked practitioner of Krav Maga and certified as a 9th Dan by Imi Lichtenfeld, undertook an extensive project in memory of the creator: a six-volume series explaining the official Original Krav Maga Blue Belt Program exactly as it appears in the manual published by Imi in 1971.

The Blue Belt level contains the core of the system, both physically and mentally, representing the highest level of understanding a student can achieve within the program. Together with his son, Rotem, Grand Master Yaron explains in detail defenses against empty-hand attacks, special exercises, multiple attackers, as well as defenses against stick, knife, and gun attacks.
