Ikeda Moritoshi Born in 1961 (Showa 36), Ikeda Moritoshi began his martial arts journey under the guidance of Genshiro Takano, a master at the Daidokan Dojo affiliated with the Nihon Denryu Heiho Motobu Kenpo and Honbu Asaki Sensei. For 15 years until Takano's passing in 1976, he studied Honbu Kenpo. In 1977, along with karate-related individuals connected to the Motobu family, he established the Nihon Karate-do Motobu-kai under the leadership of Asaki Honbu Sensei, the son of Motobu Asaki Sensei. During this period, he joined the Motobu Gotenbu Kobudo Association and studied under the 11th generation head, Honbu Asayo Sensei. He continued his dedication to mastering the Ryukyu royal martial arts, "Motobu Gotenbu," as the 12th generation head under the tutelage of Master Seikichi Uehara until Uehara's passing in 2004. To preserve and pass on the martial arts learned from Genshiro Takano and Seikichi Uehara to future generations, Ikeda Moritoshi currently leads the Hando-kan Dojo in Saitama Prefecture, actively continuing his efforts.
