Guidance and Supervision: Tetsuzan Kuroda (15th Generation Head of Shimbukan)
Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1950, Tetsuzan Kuroda studied five traditional martial arts lineages handed down through his family from a young age under his grandfather (Taiji Kuroda) and father (Shigeki Kuroda). He became the 15th head of Shimbukan. With the understanding that forms are theories, he practices and teaches the traditional techniques that deny the use of force, earning high regard in the martial arts community.
