Hidetaka was one of the senior students of Gichin Funakoshi and his contributions to shotokan karate are very significant as it was he and other JKA members that took the science of bio mechanics and kinesiology and implemented these to shotokan . On this DVD you will see several of the qualities of traditional karate as Sensei Nishiyama himself explains up close and personal. You will also see his explanation of Go No Sen Sen No Sen and Sen plus he also demonstrates in germany at a major event the kata Hangetsu. Plus a lot more.

Master H. Nishiyama: JKA Summer Camp review

This DVD captures the essence of JKA Shotokan karate presented by one of the worlds leading master instructors. If you have ever trained under Master Nishiyama, you will absolutely appreciate this 4 DVD set. Nishiyama Sensei explains the history of Shotokan, and the sequences from the San Diego camp are great. I was at this camp and the DVD covers the highlights very well. You will see Masters Shirai, Oishi, Enoeda,and others,demonstrate as well as observing Nishiyama Sensei's teaching. You will not be disappointed in this DVD if you are a student of Shotokan or any other Japanese style of karate.
