Masaaki Hatsumi: Dojo Art is a book which looks at Masaaki Hatsumi’s paintings, calligraphy, and physical action and suggests the critical intersection of all his arts. It is the corroborative result of award-winning book designer Dan Saal, translator Yuno Dinnie and photographer Steve Olsen.

The book includes introductory material, an essay by the artist and translations in English and Japanese. Art pictured in the book was painted between 2009 and 2013 and action photos of Hatsumi Sensei teaching were from the same period. It is printed on 157 gsm art quality paper stock, features a traditional hand-stitched binding and includes a slipcase.
