This 6 DVD Set includes:

-Lost Techniques: Due to the worldwide spread and subsequent perceived need to simplify teaching and testing curriculums there has developed a gap in many practitioners understanding of the foundation of Aikido. Lost Techniques focuses on techniques which for the most part have been misplaced within the daily practice of today’s Aikido, and demonstrates their application in order to broaden the viewer’s understanding as to the scope of the Traditional Aikido of Ueshiba Morihei O’Sensei.

-Tachi Dori (Sword Taking): Tachi-Dori examines the art of sword taking as it is utilized in the practice of Traditional Aikido. From precise body movement to Sen-no-Sen (acting on the initiation of attack), the foundation through advanced applications of throwing and pinning techniques demonstrated encompass all the necessary elements needed to build a solid repertoire while gaining a clear and strong understanding of this facet of Aikido.

-Jo Nage / Jo Dori ( Staff Throwing / Taking) (2 DVD Set): This 2-DVD set answers the important questions, “What are the Kihon Waza (foundation techniques)” and “How to build a solid, powerful repertoire for use in Dan testing.” Regardless of your current level, the concise information found in Jo-Nage (throwing with the staff) & Jo-Dori (staff taking) will expand your understanding of Traditional Aikido.

-Tanren (Spirit Forging): During O’Sensei’s lifelong pursuit of the Way of Aiki, he both used and developed many training methods. One method utilized extensively during austere training was Tanren-Uchi (the forging of the spirit through repetitious striking). Part I of this DVD features step-by-step instruction on how to construct a heavy-duty Tanren stand with basic tools. Part II demonstrates the basic use and foundation of traditional Tanren training.

-Juken Dori (Bayoneted Rifle Defense): This DVD demonstrates and addresses the lost art of JuKen Dori (bayoneted rifle defense), practiced and taught by O’Sensei during the Aiki-Budo (1931-41) and early Aikido era (1942-46). Using the principles of Aiki, O’Sensei developed techniques to disarm an attack from a JuKen wielding opponentThe technique presented within this DVD offer a unique platform for studying the roots of OSensei’s Aikido.
