About the Instructor:
Born in 1940 on Tinian Island in the South Seas, Takeo Nishikido spent his early years in Amakusa, Kumamoto prefecture, before moving to Osaka. His journey in Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu began in 1959, and he relocated to Tokyo in 1968, where he pursued acupuncture studies alongside martial arts. Introduced by Mr. Yuji Takiguchi, Nishikido began his pivotal training under Kodo Horikawa in October 1973 during a visit to Kitami. Today, he operates a Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu dojo in Fukuoka, dedicated to passing on his knowledge to the next generation of practitioners.
