Michio Shimada (島田道男)
- From a young age, Shimada studied Judo and Karate before entering the tutelage of the martial arts saint, Kenichi Sawai.
- Known for enduring rigorous training sessions at the legendary Meiji Shrine Forest.
- In 1985, following Kenichi Sawai's instructions, Shimada established the Taiki Ken Kikoukai dojo in Koganei, Tokyo, to widely teach Taiki Ken to the public.
- After his mentor's passing, Shimada temporarily closed the dojo but later reopened it to continue teaching and preserving Taiki Ken.
- In January 2005, Shimada commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Koganei dojo's founding by opening a new dojo in Shinjuku, Tokyo, focusing on spreading Kenichi Sawai's legacy of Taiki Ken and mentoring future generations.
