“Choshin” (Straight Core) is a foundational posture concept designed to generate true power from within the body. Even with strong muscles, many practitioners fail to express their full strength—this is often due to using the wrong muscle groups.

Shu Tetsu’s method focuses on a fundamental shift: moving from exerting force with superficial muscles to channeling power through the deep muscle system. When the deep musculature aligns the body into a unified structural axis, ground reaction force can flow seamlessly through the entire body, enabling explosive power from any position.

About the Instructor: 

Masashi Fujiwara studies various styles, including karate, and in the process, he explores training methods. He also interacts with many martial artists and fighters. In 2020, he established "Shutetsu Karate-do" as a style of karate that focuses on the power of techniques. He has now changed the name of his group to "Shutetsu" in order to conduct more free and broad research, rather than focusing on karate-do, and continues to teach regardless of style or organization.
