Ashihara Hideyuki, who introduced the concept of "Sabaki" into the world of karate and founded the New International Karate Organization Ashihara Karate, gained explosive popularity worldwide. His charismatic personality and karate theories, developed through various martial arts studies, earned fervent support from disciples worldwide and produced numerous successors. Twenty years after his passing, a commemorative work capturing his essence through unearthed rare footage from his lifetime has been completed.

Cast:

Ashihara Hideyuki (December 4, 1944 - April 24, 1995)

  • Born in Hiroshima Prefecture. After graduating from middle school, he moved to Tokyo and joined the predecessor of Kyokushin Karate, the Oyama Dojo. He became an instructor at the Kyokushin Karate Headquarters and later served as the Shikoku Branch Chief, contributing to the spread of karate in the Kansai region. In 1980, he founded Ashihara Karate, introducing the concept of "Sabaki," which involves handling opponents' attacks through circular movements and footwork, thereby pioneering new techniques in the karate world. As the first Chief Instructor of the New International Karate Organization Ashihara Karate, he nurtured numerous distinguished athletes. He passed away on April 24, 1995.
